Description: Marisa is a seasonal cheese made from pasteurized milk of Wisconsin sheep by Sid Cook of Carr Valley Cheese Co. It is named after Sid Cook's daughter. This dense and firm cheese is white in color with mellow, complex and sweet flavors that are quite typical of sheep milk cheeses. It was awarded 2nd Place at the 2011 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest. Accompany the cheese with Chianti, Pinot Grigio and lighter Lagers to enhance its flavors.Marisa is also available in aged, cave aged and smoked varieties.
